GOLDEN BEACH RURAL FIRE BRIGADE

Golden Beach Rural Fire brigade is a small brigade that works hard to ensure the coastal region that it covers remains safe. Constant patrol of the beach area has proven beneficial during the summer Fire Danger Period when up to a thousand people can be camped through out 20 camp sites on the foreshore.


The relationship between the brigade and campers has developed over many years and the patrolling crews receive many an invitation to join relaxing campers who are enjoying the peace and tranquility of this beautiful area. During most of the long weekend Saturday's the Golden Beach Fire Brigade hosts a trash and treasure garage sale where many a bargain can be found, check it out next time your in town or come up for the day and have a great day at the beach as well. TOTAL FIRE BAN DAYS

Total Fire Bans prohibit
the lighting of any fires in the open air. The ban
includes all campfires, all solid fuel barbecues and
portable barbecues in excess of 20 metres away from a
permanent dwelling. It also includes incinerators,
welding, grinding, soldering or gas cutting. |

across most areas of Victoria by CFA, when fire danger is high.
Typically this is over the summer period of November through to April.
Note that your local council may also have bylaws in place which
restrict activity involving fire or open flame. |
SANTA'S ANNUAL JOURNEY TO GOLDEN
BEACH VIC
Every year on Christmas eve Golden Beach Fire Brigade escorts Santa
around all the camp sites at both Golden and Paradise beach Vic.
Santa gives out free sweets to the young and not so young children
camping on the foreshore, in addition Santa delivers gifts for local
children. Santa always starts his long journey around Australia at
Golden Beach and here it is Hot off the press photo's of Santa starting
his journey Christmas 2007.
